Dance-pop troupe the Vengaboys were originally formed by Dutch DJs Danski and Delmundo, who performed live under the name between 1992 and 1996, additionally scoring a handful of underground club hits. During the summer of 1996 the duo was joined by singers/dancers Kim, Robin, Roy, and Denise, all of whom became full-time members of the group; with Danski and Delmundo locked in the studio, the four vocalists toured Europe under the Vengaboys name, followed in 1997 by the release of the single 'Up and Down.' The follow-up 'We Like to Party! (The Vengabus)' appeared in 1998, followed shortly by the full-length The Party Album, which also featured the hit single 'Boom Boom Boom Boom.' The hit singles 'Kiss When the Sun Don't Shine,' 'Shalala Lala,' and 'Uncle John from Jamaica' all landed on the 2000 effort The Platinum Album.

After the release of their 2001 single 'Forever as One,' a pregnant Denise left the group to tend to life as a new mother and the Vengaboys went on hiatus. In 2006 they returned with Donny Latupeirissa replacing Roy on a tour across Europe, but in 2010 their comeback began in earnest with the release of their single 'Rocket to Uranus.' The song's accompanying 3-D video featured gossip columnist Perez Hilton, along with Euro-dance legend Pete Burns from the group Dead or Alive. In 2013, they released a cover of 'Hot Hot Hot,' the classic soca hit from Arrow that had become a worldwide party favorite in 1987 thanks to a version by David Johansen in his Buster Poindexter persona. They released '2 Brazil' a year later to coincide with the 2014 World Cup, while the end of 2014 saw the group get in the holiday spirit with The Christmas Party Album, which featured the single 'Where Did My Xmas Tree Go?'

Dutch commercial house act produced by Wessel van Diepen & Dennis van den Driesschen, a 'latino dance troupe' spearheaded by DJ Danski and DJ Delmundo - two Spanish DJs who toured Spain and Ibiza in a bus between 1992 and 1997, bringing 'provocative grooves and sexy lyrics' to beaches for impromptu and illegal dance and beach parties. During 1995-96, four dancers/singers (Roy, Denice, Kim and Robin) - who had been regular guests at the beach parties - were added and the enlarged troupe toured beaches throughout Europe. Initially the new foursome worked as dancers to 'spice up' the DJ sets. The act's first single 'Up & Down' was released in March 1997 in selected countries (Germany, France, Italy, Scandinavia and Israel), becoming a huge success in Europe (e.g. Making the top 5 in The Netherlands, Denmark, France and Spain), before making its way over to America.

The UK really caught the 'Venga bug', with combined sales of the act's first 4 singles - 'Boom Boom Boom' (reached #1); 'We're Going To Ibiza' (#1); 'Up & Down' (#3) and 'We Like To Party) appraoching nearly 2 Million. With global sales of over 10 Million singles and 5 Million copies of their first album, Vengaboys have proved to be the most commercially successful Dutch group after. After years of hiatus, they now confirmed their return in 2010 composed of Kim, Denice, returning member Robin and the newest member Donny (Ma'Donny) with their come back brand new and official single to be released in UK this May 2010 then follows worldwide very soon which is entitled 'Rocket To Uranus' which according to Kim: 'This is the most gayest song ever.' They also finished shooting a music video for this single shot in London and L.A. 'Vengaboys', whatever that means, even if are the two hidden producers and the four crazy dancers, for me is one of the best band ever. Their pop songs like 'Uncle John From Jamaica', 'Shalala Lala', 'Kiss', 'Boom boom boom boom' and 'We're going to Ibiza' reached epic successes and are timeless classics.

'We like to party' was a hymn of the late 90's. Even their less famous tracks in the 'Platinum Album' were very catchy, like '24/7 in my 911' and 'Skinny Dippin'. But despite all this commercial success, they were geniuses in tradicional electronic music. '48 hours' and 'Opus 3 in D#' are two of the biggest anthem trances ever.
